This is the patented Same Side Forward (SSF) configuration, which allows you to maintain correct posture at any degree of ramp incline. The high intensity user can lean forward without placing excess stress on the back. The reciprocal movement of the footplates allows for an accurate foot path in a natural (arc) motion, creating a relaxed feel. Also similar to the 600A, the Total Body 610A offers extreme durability and can take whatever you dish out. The sturdy 610A also comes with front-mounted wheels to make the Arc Trainer more portable to preferred positions in your home and gym. Having trouble deciding which model is right for you. The machine accomplishes this through its Reverse Arc motion technology, which engages the muscles--the quads and glutes--that demand the most energy from the body when they're called upon to work. That means a higher intensity and a bigger calorie burn, giving you a complete workout in the shortest time possible. The Cybex 360A also uses workout variations usually reserved for the gym, with three exercise zones providing a host of workout options: a low position called the Glide (similar to a ski machine), a medium position called the Stride (similar to an elliptical trainer), and a high position called the Climb (similar to a stair climber). The zones team up with a broad incline and resistance range to emphasize almost every lower body muscle group, letting users determine the motion that best suits their fitness needs. The Cybex 360A Arc Trainer combines the best features of a skier, elliptical trainer, and climber. The Cybex 360A is also far easier on the body than most exercise equipment.http://ascinfratech.com/clientprojects/trading/compair-c20-compressor-manual.xml

The trainer's Reverse Arc motion technology places the user's toe behind the knee, reducing stress on the joints while offering a complete range of motion for both the knee and hip. The machine's Same Side Forward (SSF) orientation, meanwhile, ensures that the arm and leg on the same side move together, so that the relationship with the arm handle and footplate remains the same regardless of incline. This allows the user to always maintain an optimal posture during the exercise, which virtually eliminates back fatigue. Other cross trainers, by contrast, move the arms and legs in opposite directions, putting the body in a stressful position throughout the incline range. Finally, the Arc Trainer is equipped with long input arms that produce a more linear path, versus the shorter handles found on most equipment. This near-linear path minimizes painful wrist articulation, allowing you to get a better upper body workout and maintain good posture. The Cybex 360A offers 13 preset programs, including quick start, manual, weight loss, cardio, hills, valleys, ramps, interval one, interval two, strength, endurance, random, and calorie goal. It's also easy to track your progress thanks to the intuitive split-level display. Other features include two water bottle holders, a magazine rack, a utility tray, and wireless heart rate monitoring. The trainer includes a split-level display with 13 preset programs. McCormick 4.0 out of 5 stars I'm very impressed with the quality of the machine. Very strong sturdy piece of equipment. Nothing vibrates, squeaks or creaks. It's virtually silent and an absolute pleasure to use. I'm recovering from a back injury so I need equipment that will allow me to continue to work out but without hurting myself. I can get a very intense workout without back pain. The motion is smooth and feels natural. The wide variety of programs will keep me from getting bored. Hill climbs, intervals, etc. Be prepared to have some help around to set up this machine. It is very heavy. The unit arrives mostly assembled, but there is still some work to be done by the consumer to finish the assembly. The instruction manual was decent, but sometimes it was difficult to distinguish between many similar looking parts. We managed to assemble it in about two hours. The user manual that arrived with my unit appears to be for an older model. It mentions a chest strap and cable for the heart rate monitor function, however this is not included and to my delight does not need to be. The heart rate monitor function is wireless and works great with my Polar FT80. It recognized my HRM and worked automatically. This really should be explained in the materials somewhere. That's my only reason for giving the Arc Trainer 4 stars. My delivery nightmare was certainly not the fault of Cybex, so I'm not counting that against them in my review.

My order qualified for free shipping. Of course this unit is very heavy so it is shipped by freight carrier. I felt bad for the driver from ABF who was sent alone to deliver this monster. Luckily we had someone here to help him, or it might still be on the truck. All in all, I am very very happy with the Arc Trainer and I'm looking forward to many years of use. Seems that a representative of Cybex read my review here. Dug up my phone number and called to tell me that he's overnighting me the heart rate monitor chest strap. Wow. Now that's awesome customer service. Thanks Cybex!I assembled it today, except for the console and the water bottle holders and ran into a couple of issues. 1) When we opened the shipping the box, I noticed that the crescent shaped plastic piece that was screw attached to the front end of part A08 was broken. I did not see any damage to the box that would indicate that this was done during transit. Please forward a replacement part and screw. 2)The 2 pieces of flat steel that the right plastic foot pad mounts to are not properly aligned so as to allow the 3 locating pegs on the bottom of the plastic foot pad to drop through the holes, thus assuring that the 4 bolts that mount the plastic foot pad to the steel to line up properly. This does not allow the top pivot point to mate up with the corresponding link arm with really forcing the handlebar shaft over which would put an ongoing bind on this pivot point. 4)Something inside the main pulley cover asembly is rubbing. There is a distinct rubbing noise for about 180 degrees of rotation. No sound at all for the other 180 degrees. 5)There was no manual at all in the package. Luckily I had a manual that Cybex had e-mailed to me before I bought the unit to determine if the unit would fit up our stairs. This really is not a warranty issue, but rather manufacturing defects that need to be corrected. This is a gym-quality machine with all the bells and whistles.

The ride is smooth, and essentially silent. Amazingly compact, too. Good thing, since I had intended to have it in an empty upstairs room but no way would it fit up my winding staircase.so it's now in our family room. This thing weighs a TON, so be prepared to have it just dropped at the closest doorway by two very unhappy delivery men. And I had to enlist the assistance of a very strong, very tool-savvy friend to put it together and get it where I wanted it. But I assure you.it's all well worth the effort (and cost).Since its purchase,. Since its purchase, we have had 5 visits from repair people. The parts are under warranty but the labor is not. The product has had multiple repairs over past 6 months and repeatedly it does not work. Before purchasing the Cybex, I went to my workplace gym and tried it out (there is always a line of people waiting to use it). Instant love! On my previous machine, I was working 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week and I was at the peak of what that machine could provide for me. The first time on the Cybex, I could only do 5 minutes. I have been working back up to my 30-minute sessions. I doubt I will ever outgrow this machine, there are so many options and challenges. The programs have 10 levels each for control of resistance and incline. Not only does the user stay in a more upright position at any incline level, the SSF motion puts both the arms and legs forward on the same side to achieve a better workout. The lowest level feels like the glide of a cross country ski machine, the mid-level is comparable somewhat to an elliptical stride, and the highest incline feels more like a stairclimber. Along with up to 900 watts of resistance, this combination of inclines, the upper body workout arms, arc foot pattern, and SSF motion make the arc trainer one of the most effective calorie-burning cardio machines in the world. For the out-of-shape individual as well as pro athletes, the Cybex Arc Trainer is a perfect trainer for endurance, cardio, and conditioning workouts. It has a lower Perceived Rate of Exertion (PRE) than an elliptical trainer, plus it burns more calories, provides for correct posture, and improves lower body power. The comfortable ride of this Arc Trainer just might make you want to switch from the traditional style of ellipticals.Rear Drive. Cardiovascular Systems. Part Number 5750-4 DOwner’s Manual.
